Alex Meyr, PharmD
Dr. Alex Meyr graduated from Saint Louis University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. He taught high school science for two years at an inner-city school in St. Louis through Teach For America. He decided to return to school and earned his PharmD degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2018. He completed his PGY-1 residency program with an emphasis in ambulatory care at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. During one of his rotations in residency, he worked with family medicine doctors at Esse Health. Esse Health hired him after completing his residency, and he has been working with them for the past 5 years. He is now a clinical pharmacist with an emphasis on diabetes management.
Dr. Meyr is a member of the American Pharmacists Association. He has participated in numerous community service activities, including providing pharmaceutical care to patients visiting the free clinic at the St. Louis University Health Resouce Center.
Dr. Meyr enjoys spending time with his wife and three girls when not at work.
