HIV in 2025: What the Generalist Physician Should Know
In this activity the presenter will provide an update on the current state of HIV/AIDS management, focusing on three key areas: antiretroviral therapy (ART), prevention strategies, and the HIV care continuum. The latest advancements in ART options, medication adherence, and the importance of regular monitoring will be discussed. Additionally, the presenter will discuss effective prevention strategies such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and community outreach initiatives that aim to reduce new infections. Lastly, the HIV care continuum will be discussed, emphasizing the importance of linking individuals to care, retention in treatment, and the vital role of comprehensive support services in achieving the goal of ending the HIV epidemic.
