Preventative Cardiology from an Interventional Perspective

This presentation on “Preventive Cardiology in Primary Care” will focus on the essential role primary care physicians play in reducing cardiovascular disease risk through effective prevention strategies. Attendees will learn about current guidelines for cardiovascular risk assessment, including the importance of identifying key risk factors such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and lifestyle behaviors. The presentation will discuss evidence-based interventions, including dietary modifications, physical activity recommendations, and smoking cessation strategies, aimed at promoting heart health. Additionally, participants will explore the integration of patient-centered care approaches, emphasizing the importance of shared decision-making and individualized treatment plans to enhance patient engagement and adherence. By the conclusion of the session, primary care physicians will be better equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement effective preventive cardiology practices that improve cardiovascular health and outcomes in their patient populations. Cardiologists and primary care physicians should attend this program.
