The Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Complex Fetal Parent-Patient Dyad

This presentation on Perinatal Care focuses on the critical period surrounding childbirth, encompassing both prenatal and postnatal health to optimize outcomes for mothers and infants. Participants will gain insights into evidence-based practices for managing common perinatal conditions, including gestational diabetes, hypertension, and infections. The importance of comprehensive maternal screening and education will be emphasized, along with strategies for effective risk assessment throughout pregnancy. Additionally, the presentation will highlight the role of interdisciplinary collaboration in perinatal care, stressing the integration of obstetricians, midwives, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic support for the mother-baby dyad. Challenges such as mental health issues during and after pregnancy, as well as socioeconomic factors affecting perinatal health, will be discussed. Ultimately, this presentation equips healthcare providers with the knowledge and tools to deliver high-quality, patient-centered perinatal care, fostering healthy families and positive birth experiences. Family physicians, obstetricians, and pediatricians should attend this program.
