Jason Jackson, DO
Dr. Jason Jackson received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance from West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh to complete his pre-medical prerequisites. Dr. Jackson graduated with his osteopathic medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM). He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Miami Children’s Health Systems, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Jackson then completed his fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Dr. Jackson is board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Jackson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Jackson is a Clinical neonatologist who primarily focuses on caring for neonates with surgical conditions, including the need for ECMO, congenital cardiac defects, and delivery room management. He also serves as a neonatologist in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Fetal Center in Columbus, Ohio, where he consults families on the management of fetuses and neonates with complex congenital anomalies, including the coordination of high-risk deliveries of these neonates.
Dr.Jackson is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Jackson was selected in 2022 as part of the inaugural cohort for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Community Health and Advocacy Scholars and Educators (CHASE) Faculty Development Program. He received the Rochester General Hospital Department of OB/GYN Chief’s Roundtable Honors Award for excellence in teamwork and compassionate care in 2020. In 2019, he was a URMC iCare Strong Star Bronze Star recipient.
