Peter Eum, DO

Dr. Peter Eum is an Integrative Medicine Specialist with a passion for blending conventional medical treatments with holistic, lifestyle-focused care. He attended Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated in 2015. Dr. Eum completed his Internal Medicine and Quality and Patient Safety residencies at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, and a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he focused on merging traditional rheumatology practices with lifestyle interventions. Dr.Eum is also trained in medical acupuncture, offering alternative pain management techniques to his patients. He is a staff Rheumatologist at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Eum is board-certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Rheumatology and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Eum has successfully implemented integrative care plans that incorporate diet, exercise, mindfulness, and acupuncture. His innovative treatment strategies have led to significant improvements in the health and well-being of his patients. Dr. Eum is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through integrative approaches, particularly in the management of chronic autoimmune diseases, fibromyalgia, and PTSD.

Dr. Eum’s contributions extend to academic and clinical research, with numerous publications in leading medical journals. His dedication to medical education includes teaching at the University of Hawai’i and precepting resident physicians from the University of Hawai’i and Tripler Army Medical Center.
